Compressor Room Evaluation

Our experienced air audit team will evaluate the your compressor room that if the compressor room is suitably designed to support the efficient running the compressors and the whole system.

Following tasks are performed during Air Audit.

Compressor's Performance Testing.

In this step, Air Audit team will use insertion type flow meters to measure the real-time air delivery of compressor. Concurrently , portable phase power is used to measure the power consumption of the compressor. So that key performance indicator of the compressor i.e. kW/m³/min can be calculated.

Air Audit team is well equipped with latest portable type flow meter for both wet compressed air i.e. just at the discharge of compressor and for dry air i.e. after air dryer, to meet the clients requirements.

Compressors Control System Analysis.

Compressor control techniques are very crucial especially when there are more than one compressors in a facility. Inefficient  multi-compressor control technique can waste 10-30 % of your energy.

Our Air audit team log different parameter such as the compressors running patterns, pressure, air flow, dew point etc., over an extended period of time by using stat of the art sensing and datalogging instruments.

Auxiliary Equipment Analysis

There are many auxiliary equipment inside a compressor room. Air audit team will evaluate all of them for performance evaluation. For example, dew point is indicator of the dryness of air. This not only highlight the performance of the dryer but also check for excessive energy consumption by air dryers.

Thermography of Compressor Room

Our Air Audit team will conduct thermography survey of compressor motors, air ends and electrical panels of compressor room to identify any anomalies, before it goes disastrous.

Compressor's Motor Efficiency Testing

Our Air Audit team is equipped with latest ”FLUKE 438 II Motor efficiency analyzer”. All compressors motors are tested for the real-time efficiency. Rewinding of motors and derating decreases motor efficiency which translate into energy loss. This test helps top management to decide for replacement of existing motors if required.

Power Quality Analysis of Compressor Room

Our Air Audit team will conduct power quality analysis with stat of the art three phase power quality analyzer ”FLUKE 435II” to identify important power quality issue such as Harmonic Distortion , Current and voltage imbalance. surge and swells, flickers, KVA, KVAr, p.f. etc.  Power quality greatly effect the motor derating, energy loss and life expectancy.
