Air Audit Explores the Opportunities in Air Distribution Network!

Distribution Network Analysis

It includes the analysis of system downstream the compressors room such as Leak Detection and Tagging, and Energy Loss associated with it, Piping Network Analysis, Pressure Drop, Storage Capacities etc.

Ultrasonic Leak Detection

Ordinary methods of leak detection are not suitable to locate costly leaks effectively and efficiently. Here comes the ultrasonic technology to help us!

Air is free but compressed air isn’t.
DOE (USA) reported that average facility loses an average of 30-50 % of its compressed air to leaks; much of which is undetectable by ear, to touch or sight. There are many other associated losses such as fluctuating system pressure, excessive load on supply side and treatment equipment. Our Air Audit team, without any shutdown, detects all minor and major leaks, even in the noisiest environment such as air jet looms shed. Air leaks are the tagged to fix later on.

Air Leakage Testing

This is one of the critical part of the air audit. In this test energy losses associated with leakages are quantified.

Leakage are every where, it cannot be zero, a system s considered well maintained if it air leakage less than 5%. In order to quantify the energy loss associated with these leaks, our air audit team will perform leakage test. There are many methods to perform this test. Our air audit team evaluates the site and chooses  the most suitable one.

Air Distribution Network Analysis

In this is critical part of the air audit, whole distribution network is analyzed for effectiveness and requirement point of view.

In many factories, compressed air networks are not evaluated to meet the modified requirement of the system as a result of  expansions over  time. That causes to shoot-up line losses. As a result capital investment is indispensable  to add more compressors in the system. In this analysis, a comprehensive air consumption mapping of the the whole facility is conducted with portable air flow meters.  Piping specifications and air consumption are then simulated in specialized software.
This methodology helps to evaluate the distribution network performance and suggest the recommendations to improve deficiencies.
